HOPKINS OF 'CHAIN LETTER PROPAGANDA' -- Waving aloft letters he said he had
received bearing "chain" instruction, Rep. John Taber (R-NY) today accused
Harry L. Hopkins, WPA administrator, of inspiring "chain letter propaganda"
for President Roosevelt's pump priming program. "On the bottoms of some of
the letters," he said, "was a line stating 'make one copy for your congressman
