Wir Deutsche fürchten Gott, sonst nichts auf der
Welt ! Vorstehenden Spruch erhielt ich zur Weiter-
gabe. Jeder der ihn bekommt, soll ihn 9 Tage hin-
durch täglich einen von seinen Bekannten zuschicken
ohne Unterschrift. Die Absendung der Karten darf
nicht unterbrochen werden. Es ist dies eine alte
Sage, die im Kriege des Deutschen Volkes beobachtet
wurde. Es geht die Sage, dass derjenige, welcher den
Spruch nicht weitergibt, kein Glück mehr haben wird.
Wer ihn aber weitergibt, wird in 9 Tagen ein grosses
Glück erleben, dass ihn dann nicht mehr verlassen
wird.

The provider of the following translation wished to remain
anonymous.
We Germans fear God, and nothing else on this world!
I received this saying to send to others. Everybody
who receives it should send it on an unsigned card
to his acquaintances, one each day for a period of nine
days. The sending of the cards must not be interrupted.
This is an old saying from a time of war of the
German people. The story goes that the one who
interrupts its sending will be unlucky forever.
However the one who sends it will get a great fortune after
nine days, and this fortune will last him forever.
