[Chain letter (LCL) is preceded by the "Food for Thought" (FFT) and "Gene Sarazen" (GS) office humor items. Article gives little text from this part - see 1972 for a likely close match to this 1969 letter.]  

The luck of this letter has been around the world four times.  The one who breaks it will have bad luck.

[The recipient is admonished not to keep the letter and not to send any money.]

[All you have to do, the letter states is have your secretary send the copy you receive and four others to five friends to whom you wish good luck.]
[Then just sit back ...]
and see what happens four days from now. Do not break the chain. You are to receive good luck in the next four days time.

"A new kind of chain letter that requires non signatures and no money was in circulation in Pampa today.
This one is designed to circulate mainly among businessmen and community leaders.
It simply advises them to 'stop worrying about your business and get out and play golf.'
