Luck chain letter (postcard). Blind13. "... have
mercy on our boy in service and bless our mother." US, 1945.
Oh Lord, have mercy on our boy
in service and bless our mother. I ask in the name of the Lord. This prayer
must be sent all over the world. Copy and send it to 13 persons and on the
13th day happiness will come to your house. One lady made fun of it and on
the 13th day she went blind. Do not let the prayer die in your house. It
was sent to me and I am sending it on to you.

CHAIN LETTERS IN IRONWOOD
"The following 'chain letter' is coming through the Ironwood mail at this
time. If your receive the letter, do not worry. If you do not know what to
do about the letter, talk with your spiritual adviser, that is, your minister
or priest. The letter or postcard reads as follows:" [text]. "Chain letters
of this kind appear every now and then. They are often started by people
who are just a little bit 'cracked' but not quite 'nuts.' So, if you like
'cracked nuts,' we know what you are doing with the chain letter. Remember
just a few years ago, when most of us thought we were going to become rich
with the twenty-five cents chain letter!" Entered by DWV, Aug.
