An Ancient Prayer
Oh Lord Jesus I implore thee to bless all
mankind and keep us from all evil by thy precious
blood and take us to dwell in eternity with thee.
This prayer was sent to me to copy and mail to
nine friends. It was said in Jesus' time
that he that would write this prayer would
be delivered from all calamity. He who would
not write it and pass it on would meet
with some misfortune. Those who would
write it for nine days beginning from
the day rec'd and mail to nine friends
would experience some great joy.
Do not break the chain.
Do not sign your name.

on March 14, 1910. No return address. Addressed to Miss Florence Powell,
Nebr., R.R.#1 (written slanted). Written in 14 lines, small letters. Lines
