it on the day received will
experience on or before the
9th day some great joy

Written in black ink on the back of a 4 1/4 by 3 3/8 inch postal card (no illustration). Postmarked in Halstead and Cosfield, April 22, 1908. Addressed to Miss Goddard, Hutton Burses, Brentwood, Essex. Half penny stamp (Edward). No return address. Lines preserved above. Purchased on Ebay. Entered by DWV, 9/26/09.
