Parody chain letter. Husband exchange. Early
text. "... you will receive 15,188 men." US, 1949.
Dear Pal;
This chain was started in the hope of bringing happiness to all tired
housewives. Unlike most chains, this one does not require money. Simply send
a copy of this letter to five female friends. Then bundle up your husband
and send him to the person whose name heads the list. When your name gets
to the top you will receive 15,188 men, and some ought to be dandies.
Have faith. Don't break the chain. One woman broke it and got her
husband back.
