Charity chain letter. Harrison Presidential Campaign. One dollar for the "President Republican League."  US, 1888.

NUMBER 1.
KEEP THE BALL ROLLING.
New York, Sept. xx, 1888.

Dear Sir-- The legitimate expenses incurred in the campaign for the election of Harrison and Morton are enormous, and require a helping hand from every Republican.
If you will help, please make two copies of this letter and soon as possible, putting at the top the next higher number, and send them to two of your FRIENDS, at the same time returning this, with ONE DOLLAR enclosed, to James P. Foster, PRESIDENT REPUBLICAN LEAGUE,  Box 3180, New York City.
If you do not wish to aid in this plan, please return this letter to above address, as it is the only way the League can know that the ball is not "rolling."
